If you’ve followed the tips on our blog, then your PC is probably quite a bit faster than it was when you started. But if you’re not using your fast PC to its full potential, then what’s the point?

Well this weekend, computer users have a perfect opportunity to test out their fast PCs. Bioware’s popular MMORPG, Star Wars: The Old Republic is offering a free weekend to any new users. The four day free trial kicks off on May 17 and runs until May 21. If you don’t have plans over the long weekend, then now is as good a time as any to find a new way to kill time.

For those unfamiliar to the game, The Old Republic is similar to World of Warcraft in that users are interacting with one another in a massive fantasy world. However, The Old Republic focuses on a more story-driven experience in an effort to recapture the magic of previous Star Wars RPGs like Knights of the Old Republic.

While TOR has had free weekends in the past, they always required users to input credit card data. This weekend, that requirement is off the table. That perk is sure to drag in a few new players. While the pass runs all weekend, new users will not be able to get past level 15, although you can experience the Origin Worlds for each character class, and you may even be able to make to a capital city. Furthermore, you can team up with friends for some PvP (player vs. player) action in combat zones.

Whatever your taste in games may be, there’s no better way to test out your fast PC by playing some of today’s newest games. The trial starts on Thursday, May 17 at 12:01AM Central Time and ends on Monday at 2:00AM Central Time. Download The Old Republic trial by hitting up the official TOR website.
