If you’ve followed the PC tips and tricks we’ve been posting on our Speed Up My PC Free blog, then you’ve probably noticed a considerable increase in the speed of your computer.
Unfortunately, traditional computer mice are restricted to a measly two or three buttons. What’s the point of having a fast computer if you’re restricted to a mouse like that?
Today, Logitech unveiled a new 20-button (!!!) mouse called the G600 that can be used at an astonishing 200 to 8200 DPI (that rate can be changed on the fly using a nifty slider on the mouse). The mouse also processes images at 11.25 megapixels per second and has a max acceleration of 25G and a max speed of 160 inches per second.
There are also 12 ‘thumb’ buttons located on the left hand side of the mouse in a specially designed thumb panel. The other 8 buttons are in conventional locations along the top of the mouse.
The entire array also lights up with LEDs for those long, dark nights spent playing World of Warcraft and other MMOs.
Normally, a mouse with 20 buttons would seem bulky and difficult to use. However, it looks like Logitech has spent enough time perfecting the design of their new G600 MMO gaming mouse that this won’t be a problem. Check out the design in this preview picture released by Logitech, or visit their official website for more information.
This is a premium quality mouse, folks. If you’ve ever felt like your mouse was the bottleneck to your computer’s speed (not likely), then this could be the mouse you’ve been waiting for.
Of course, there isn’t anything wrong with a normal 2-button or 3-button mouse, and the market for a 20-button mouse might be fairly limited. Still, Logitech’s new mouse looks to impress the MMO gaming crowd when it comes out later this July for $80. Check it out here.
